During the past year the number of vulnerable individuals referred to WIZO by social welfare services in Israel has risen dramatically and their needs are greater than ever.
More toddlers and babies rely on WIZO Day Care Centres for their one nutritious meal of the day, more vulnerable teenagers are in need of extended support at WIZO Youth Villages – their safe place and more women and children need shelter, a refuge to escape the steep rise in domestic abuse.
The impact of the Covid-19 crisis on WIZO’s work is severe and the effects will be long-lasting.
