Why support WIZO?
WIZO is the largest social welfare organisation in Israel helping vulnerable and disadvantaged Israeli citizens. As the main agent for change for women, children and youth in Israel, WIZO provides over 800 life-changing projects and programmes across the country.
WIZO’s long term presence and experience is well-respected which means we are able to work with the Israeli Government, local municipalities and the many different communities throughout Israel. We equip individuals with the skills, tools and opportunities they need to succeed. We do not just believe in giving people handouts – rather we empower people to help themselves.
From working with disadvantaged families in Jerusalem to getting vulnerable girls off the street in Be’er Sheva, all our activities have the same core aim, supporting Israeli citizens, regardless of race or religion, to become self-sufficient and contributing members of society.
