WIZO UK – Literary Lunch 2025

With guest speaker Anne Sebba, author of The Women’s Orchestra of Auschwitz who will be in conversation with Wendy Robbins, executive producer of The Commandant’s Shadow, which features Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, a surviving member of The Women’s Orchestra of Auschwitz.

We are honoured that Anita’s son, renowned cellist Raphael Wallfisch, accompanied by pianist Simon Callaghan, will be performing for us.

All proceeds raised from this event will go towards WIZOuk’s emergency rehabilitation fund. Set up following October 7th, this offers a range of therapies including music therapy, supporting a traumatised nation suffering and dealing with the psychological fall out of these horrific events.

The impact of these brutal attacks cannot be underestimated and WIZO as a first responder must continue to be there for the needs of Israeli citizens.
