Jewish Women’s Week

In 1947, Erna Patak, a refugee from Czechoslovakia, had a vision for women to create a better future with a door to door fundraising campaign.  Together with Rebecca Sieff they hoped it would last 10 years but now, over 78 years later, Jewish Women’s Week women are still leading the way.

Jewish Women’s Week  has become an established UK wide annual house to house collection, authorised by The Home Office, raising a staggering £12,000,000 since 1947. Over the years it has adapted to meet the demands and changes of modern life but we are still very grateful to all our volunteers who knock on the doors of our generous donors.

This year, the 2025 campaign is focusing on the often underestimated impact of war on women and children.  Women are frequently left to support and maintain the family home whilst children and youth are deeply traumatised by frequent rocket attacks and images of immense suffering in the media.

With your support, WIZO can continue to rebuild lives and impact the futures of women and children deeply affected by the conflict.
